Sick of the Sabres slump?  Us too!  13 seasons of playoff drought is agonizing, especially while watching cities like Fort Lauderdale, Vegas and Tampa celebrate cup victories. They’ve never seen a frozen pond, much less skated on one!  And then all the former Sabres: Okposo, Reinhart, Eichel, O’Reilly -- enough already!

 

Have you thought about what’s wrong? US TOO! We pondered a multitude of factors, from goaltending to coaching to uniforms, and more. We then took a trip back, way back to the start of it all: the 1970s. Ah, the 70s… the decade that birthed Arena Rock, Punk Rock, Schoolhouse Rock, the Pet Rock, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.  And there we found it, like hearing “Seasons in the Sun” on the radio – A CURSE!  Yes! A curse born fifty years ago, so potent neither tanking nor Schneider the Super could fix it.

 

The 70s also saw the birth of a great new entertainment form: the TV Mini-Series!  Millions of us tuned in for consecutive nights to watch compelling stories unfold across several episodes. In a nod to The Blue Knight and Rich Man, Poor Man, we bring to you our own “mini” mini-series A Buffalo Mind. Grab a bowl of popcorn and settle back to enjoy, but not a big bowl and don’t get too comfortable cuz it’s not even 20 minutes long.  However, in that short time, we’ll lay out the evidence, the cause, and most importantly, the CURE for the curse.  So, strap on your Cooper SK600 and watch!
